We don’t want a designer who just makes things look pretty. We’re looking for a young and hungry visual superhero, who can think creatively, act strategically, design smartly, collaborate beautifully...and make us famous.

Key Responsibilities

Join forces with our copy and content guru to keep our owned channels humming.
Every week we connect with our customers on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Medium and email. It’ll be on you both to build monthly content plans, pitch them to the creative director, then roll your sleeves and execute them beautifully.

Make our brand stronger every day.
Make the tiny daily tweaks that ensure that everything, from our support content, to our social profiles, to our newsletters, to our stores, look a little more VanMoof every day.

Be a story magpie.

Constantly be on the lookout for great VanMoof stories that’ll make us famous, have a point of view about the best medium and place to tell them, push for budget and permission, then pick up a camera or a mouse and storytell the hell out of them.

Help us become famous.
You’ll be occasionally pulled in to collaborate with the rest of the creative team on big juicy product launches, campaigns events, and things so wild and wonderful we don’t even have a category to slot them into.


First, the practical ones:

  • You'll need to have a design degree and experience in making gorgeous visual content, photographic content and film content.
  • 2-4 years of design and content creation experience.
  • You'll need to be a pro with Adobe Creative Suite, at least a little experience in Sketch, and we're giving bonus points for experience in our own digital tools - MailChimp, GatherContent, social media backends.
  • Bonus points for a sprinkling of UX experience.

Now, the touchy-feely ones:

We want someone who wants to change the world with us.

We want to make the world a better place with our bikes, and we don’t think traditional marketing will make that happen. No agencies. No million-dollar TV ads. No fat media budgets. We’re after someone who wants to make things that make us famous, get more people riding bikes, and change the world...and goes the extra mile to make it happen.

You’ll need to be as stubbornly focused as we are.
We do more with less here. But everything we do should be utterly on-brand, and it’ll be your job to make that happen.

And you'll need to be damn inventive.
If you think you can roll your sleeves up, and get your hands dirty in the making, building, problem-solving and growing we'll be doing in 2017, we'd love to talk to you.
